• Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at the company?
  • I am a hard-working individual who is very optimistic about life, willing to learn, and always gives 100% in whatever task I am working on. I have a wonderful husband and two amazing children. I moved to Missouri in 2011 from Guyana, South America.
• How long have you been a part of the Watchtower Security team, and what initially drew you to this company?
  •  I began my journey here at Watchtower Security Inc. in October 2021, joining the finance department. I currently manage over 600 ISP accounts for our customers, overlooking AP data entry and processing payments to our vendors. I process all expense transactions from employees’ company credit cards into our accounting systems and prepare monthly reports for management. Additionally, I support my fellow colleagues and Vendors with any inquiries.
• What path did you take to get to your current role? Have you always been in this industry, or did you come from a different background?
  • My passion has always been Accounting. From an early age, I knew that would be my path. I have been working in the finance department for over 16 years.
• What does your typical day at Watchtower look like? Are there any specific tasks or projects you’re currently working on?
  • A typical day at Watchtower Security entails managing ISP accounts, overseeing the AP processing of invoices and confirming they are valid and paid on time, speaking to Vendors, and supporting fellow teammates with any assistance needed with the company credit card or general questions.
• What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your role, and how have you overcome them?
  • When I first joined Watchtower Security Inc., communication between departments was challenging. However, after collaboration and creating new workflows, we no longer face those challenges.
• Can you share a particularly memorable achievement or project you’re proud to have been a part of?
  • ISP accounts workflow has been an achievement I am very proud of. When I took on this project, it was very messy. We are now accountable for all the accounts and have a reliable workflow in place to manage these accounts easily.
• What’s your approach to tackling new challenges or projects? Do you have any specific strategies or mindsets that guide your work?
  • When given a new project, I like to gather all the available information and then work on a plan to streamline this to get the results to complete this project. Planning and organizing are my biggest strengths when completing a task.
• What do you believe makes a successful and cohesive team, and how do you contribute to that dynamic?
  • I believe a successful and cohesive team is all about communication, sharing ideas, and working together; once we have that, it makes any task easier instantly. I like to reach out to my fellow colleagues via phone, video calls, or in person when I have any inquiries; doing so is much easier and quicker to resolve an issue.
• Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests? How do you balance your personal passions with your professional life?
  • At this point in my life, my hobbies are doing what makes my family happy, shopping, trying new food, and traveling. It has been easy to have a work-life balance here at Watchtower Security Inc. Management understands the importance of family time.
• What do you enjoy most about the company culture here? How do you feel your values align with those of the organization?
  • I really enjoy the working environment we have here at Watchtower. Everyone is approachable, and conversations and ideas flow naturally. Management is always willing to hear new ideas.
• Where do you see yourself in your career within the company in the next few years?
  • My growth here at Watchtower is promising. I look forward to learning more about the multifamily industry and growing within my department as we all grow together as a company.
