Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at the company?
A: My name is Olivia and I am the Executive Office Admin. I went to school at MSU Denver and received my bachelor’s degree in Business Intelligence.
Q: How long have you been a part of the Watchtower Security team, and what initially drew you to this company?
A: I have been with the company since September 2023, so coming up on my 1 year! I had just moved and was searching for a new opportunity, and came across WTS. During the interview process, I felt so welcomed and comfortable almost immediately. Everyone in the organization seemed excited to be a part of the Watchtower team and spoke so highly of the company.
Q: Have you always been in this industry, or did you come from a different background?
A: I have never worked in this industry. I previously was working in the mortgage industry, but I was essentially doing the same role. My current role has given me the opportunity to experience the multifamily side of things, while my previous role was more geared toward single-family residences, land, and construction.
Q: Can you share a particularly memorable achievement or project you’re proud to have been a part of?
A: A particularly memorable achievement for me was being awarded the Outstanding Culture Award this past May. This is given twice a year to an employee who has been nominated by fellow employees.
Q: Are there any skills or areas of expertise that you’re currently working to develop or improve?
A: I am interested in learning more about the agile methodology and the scrum process.
Q: What do you believe makes a successful and cohesive team, and how do you contribute to that dynamic?
A: A successful and cohesive team I believe is built on mutual respect, clear communication, shared goals, and collaboration, which I believe WTS has all of! I contribute to this dynamic by promoting open communication, actively listening to others’ ideas and viewpoints, and providing a supportive and comforting atmosphere where everyone feels heard.
Q: Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?
A: Outside of work some of my hobbies are reading, and skiing, and I love spending time with my friends and family. I enjoy discovering new music & movies and spending time with my cat Marvin. (See pic below)
Q: What do you enjoy most about the company culture here?
A: What I enjoy most about the company culture is the open communication and collaboration among different departments. Everybody is always willing to lend a hand, help others, and bounce ideas off each other.
