Q: Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your role at the company?
A: I just hit my one-year mark with Watchtower as their Sales Coordinator. I attended SLU and received my bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a concentration in Accounting & Finance. I have really enjoyed seeing the huge growth here in the last year and can’t wait to see where my journey with Watchtower takes me.
Q: What path did you take to get to your current role?
A: I never knew anything about security or the multi-family industry. What sold me on Watchtower was how much everyone seemed to love their job and truly seemed passionate about the company. The culture at Watchtower is unlike anywhere that I have ever been and I feel so lucky to be a part of it.
Q: Are there any moments or experiences that have shaped your career trajectory?
A: I am a mom of 5 and that is my passion and where my heart has always been. We spend so much of our lives at work, and I feel like you have to truly LOVE and be passionate about what you do every day. I have always longed to be somewhere that I truly love going to every single day. I distinctly remember a conversation that I had with someone at Watchtower who told me “Even at my worst day at Watchtower, is still better than my best day at any other job that I have ever had” and honestly a year later, I still feel the same way.
Q: What does your typical day at Watchtower look like?
A: There is never a day that looks the same for me in my current role. There is always a new challenge, spreadsheet, or task to look forward to daily. I love my team and the different personalities and work styles of our team make each day a unique and rewarding experience.
Q: What are some of the challenges you’ve faced in your role, and how have you overcome them?
A: A significant milestone was when my previous boss departed, leaving me to shoulder a much heavier workload. Despite the increased responsibilities, I was able to maintain high performance, continue to excel in my role, and take on more and more responsibilities.
Q: Can you share a particularly memorable achievement or project you’re proud to have been a part of?
A: I’m passionate about supporting our sales team and working with other departments to make our team more efficient. I want to do everything that I can to make their job easier. I believe that even the smallest daily tasks can have a significant impact on our efficiency and success.
Q: How do you collaborate with other team members or departments to achieve common goals?
A: Initially upon starting at Watchtower, I was concerned about the challenges of our team being remote and so geographically dispersed, but I’ve discovered that our team’s open communication channels facilitate collaboration and ensure we’re always working towards a common goal which is always to SELL and GROW.
Q: Are there any skills or areas of expertise that you’re currently working to develop or improve?
A: I’m constantly seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills within the company. I thrive on challenges and find my job most fulfilling when I can contribute in various capacities.
Q: What do you enjoy most about the company culture here?
A: What I love the most is how everyone is so willing to help out and that no question is a stupid question here. There’s never been a moment where I have ever felt that I had to handle any issue without the tremendous support of any team here. In addition, everyone here does such a great job to make you always feel so appreciated and valued.
Q: Where do you see yourself in your career within the next few years?
A: I’m passionate about Watchtower’s growth mission and am committed to its long-term success. As we continue to grow, I am eager to take on new challenges and responsibilities, such as leading our team to help us achieve our goals.
